A year ago, I sat in my study writing a post about what went down in 2017, how thankful Joe and I are, and what we will see in 2018. I went back to reading what I wrote, and some of the things I feel, or I want to say are the same - we’re extremely thankful for everyone’s support, we’re extremely happy to be doing what we’re doing and to be doing it well; you know the drill. Towards the end I said,
“When 2018 greets us, our team will look to feed you more content, organise more trade faires and take greater strides to engage with you so we’re able to build our next big product. We’ll also look at more collaborations, campaigns and extending the Specter collection.”
I think we did achieve the most of what we planned. We work closely now with a photographer who is familiar with our brand ethos and the nature of each product. Our videographer knows the same and even though we have been busy with launching Tocco Toscano’s Aimee Tote Series as well, I’d like to think we’ve created different content and ways to engage with all of you.
Trade Faires did not feature as much in 2018, but that’s also because we concentrated on expansion as much as we could so you could find us. To date, we’re also in London, Dublin, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Berlin, New York and Vietnam. Hong Kong and Australia are our next targets so hopefully, we’ll be able to make functional luxury at a faire price accessible to you folks there.
What I can share is that we do have a big event coming up in February, which will hopefully highlight the way we want to help you with your shopping experience - so that Faire exists as a lifestyle beyond the product itself. We’ll announce it sometime in January so remember to subscribe to our newsletter if you haven’t done so.
2019 will also see us launch brand new products both in the Bond and Specter collection, exciting brand partnerships and bigger campaigns. More importantly, my hope is for Faire to become a brand that represents an idea instead of just a line of products. To be in a position where we can effect some change together with you, however great or small because a little goes a long way.
We have a long long way to go to being one of the best in the world, but we’ll try to work as hard as we can to get there. In the meantime, thank you for being a part of this journey with Joe and I. Happy Holidays, and I can’t wait to embark on 2019 with all of you.
